Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) 4 minutes into the match, SOUTH THUNDER's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Benito Argi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Argi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 9th minute of the match. In the 11th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. SOUTH THUNDER's Benito Argi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 13th minute of play. After having played for 14 minutes, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 17th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Benito Argi. SOUTH THUNDER's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute, Felix Montes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, SOUTH THUNDER's Fabricio Bustos got a free kick in the 28th minute. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Argi having to make a save. In the 29th match minute, SOUTH THUNDER was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teobaldo Frutos to maneuver through the defense. Benito Argi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in SOUTH THUNDER's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Argi came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 34 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Benito Argi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Argi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 38th minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Benito Argi. SOUTH THUNDER's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. 44 minutes into the match, SOUTH THUNDER's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Benito Argi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Benito Argi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, SOUTH THUNDER's Benito Argi got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Benito Argi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Argi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. Benito Argi was a little too slow when Daniel Zorita got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 64th minute. The score was now 0-5. The audience thought a goal was coming when Agustín Saelices got free with Benito Argi in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 72nd minute, SOUTH THUNDER's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cristian Sancho fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 73rd minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Agustín Saelices received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Benito Argi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SOUTH THUNDER's defense didn't have a chance, in the 82nd minute, when Cristian Sancho scored to the left of an out of position Benito Argi, making the score, 0-7. In the 85th minute, Cristian Sancho reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Benito Argi. The goal made the score 0-8. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Argi having to interfere. The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 90th match minute when Ecuador's Luis Andino looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-9 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 96th minute, SOUTH THUNDER's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Ecuador played a much better game than SOUTH THUNDER and deserved their victory. The SOUTH THUNDER players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
