The supporters of Poli Dream Team booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Axel Tasis was the one to do the kick off. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natalio Kemen in the 50th minute of play. In the 53rd minute, Aldo Odon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 58 minutes, Eliseo Noboa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Poli Dream Team players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 86th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Rubio to maneuver through the defense. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Natalio Kemen's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Cirilo Blai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Costa Rica were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Poli Dream Team's much stronger midfield.
