One of PLUMIN:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Frenchville Sports Club:s goal. 10 minutes into the game, Brock Waters cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Leonides Matteo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, PLUMIN's Leonides Matteo got control of the ball when Isaac Mcmanamny tried to sneak it across the goal line. Brad Schonke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enzo Remir in the 18th minute of play. In the 23rd match minute, PLUMIN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Godfredo Urdaspal to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th minute Kyle Deal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonides Matteo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Christopher Marcola to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Christopher Marcola managed to get in a good position for a shot. Frenchville Sports Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Christopher Marcola was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonides Matteo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. PLUMIN's Leonides Matteo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kyle Deal in the 59th minute of play. Leonides Matteo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christopher Marcola, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Leonides Matteo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christopher Marcola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th minute, Kyle Deal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leonides Matteo was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Frenchville Sports Club reached it. Aaron Marcola lost his temper 94 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 94th minute of the game. When the match had been going on for 98 minutes, PLUMIN's Jorge Cristofol got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Brad Schonke. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Frenchville Sports Club had played much better football throughout.
