Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) CA Boca Jrs MdP's Edgard Orain started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Eloy Abastas's late challenge caught a Costa Rica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Segundo Mattin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Axel Tasis went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 19 minutes into the match, CA Boca Jrs MdP's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Noboa came free, but Segundo Mattin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute, Axel Tasis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Segundo Mattin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After 35 played minutes CA Boca Jrs MdP got a freekick which was hit by Eloy Abastas. When Axel Tasis came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Costa Rica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Axel Tasis couldn't finish the play. Costa Rica's Axel Tasis got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 46thth minute of the game Axel Tasis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CA Boca Jrs MdP's Segundo Mattin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 48th minute of play forced CA Boca Jrs MdP's goalkeeper Segundo Mattin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Segundo Mattin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Puig in the 52nd minute. 57 minutes into the match, Eliseo Noboa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Segundo Mattin, 0-3. In the 65th match minute, CA Boca Jrs MdP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eloy Abastas to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to CA Boca Jrs MdP getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Osvaldo Gonchan hit a great ball. With a little luck, CA Boca Jrs MdP's Segundo Mattin got control of the ball when Lautaro Puig tried to sneak it across the goal line. Segundo Mattin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juan Rubio in the 82nd minute. During the 84th minute of the match Eloy Abastas completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Eloy Abastas a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. CA Boca Jrs MdP's Segundo Mattin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save CA Boca Jrs MdP from getting a goal against them.
