Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Costa Rica's Axel Tasis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teobaldo Cambranes in the 5th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Alan Moruga fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Alan Moruga a yellow card for diving instead. After 6 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alan Moruga. Luciano Alvarez struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Mejores Juveniles. Teobaldo Cambranes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benito Sanz came out and tried to block the shot, but Teobaldo Cambranes slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 10th minute. Abel Carballo hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Aaron Alcocer got a free kick in the 14th minute. 16 minutes in the game, Teobaldo Cambranes fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Benito Sanz having to interfere. In the 18th minute Teobaldo Cambranes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Los Mejores Juveniles booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teobaldo Cambranes in the 21st minute of play. Los Mejores Juveniles's Heine Ulf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Puig in the 25th minute of play. In the 26th minute of the match Costa Rica got a corner. Los Mejores Juveniles's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Axel Tasis ran over to the corner to take the kick. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teobaldo Cambranes in the 27th minute of the match. Heine Ulf took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Noboa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Los Mejores Juveniles's Nicanor Harkaitz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Benito Sanz. That made the score 2-0 after 34 minutes of play. The supporters of Los Mejores Juveniles booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Ferrant didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luciano Alvarez received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benito Sanz came out and tried to block the shot, but Luciano Alvarez slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 42nd minute. 47 minutes into the match, Teobaldo Cambranes notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Teobaldo Cambranes to strike the kick off in the second half. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Los Mejores Juveniles's Luciano Alvarez. But to his dismay, Luciano Alvarez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. In the 66th minute, Aaron Alcocer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Axel Tasis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Heine Ulf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luciano Alvarez scored 6-0 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luciano Alvarez in the 74th minute of the match. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicanor Harkaitz in the 77th minute of play. When the match clock showed 80 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Luciano Alvarez sped through Costa Rica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. 85 minutes into the match, Los Mejores Juveniles's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Tasis came free, but Heine Ulf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luciano Alvarez scored 8-0 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Los Mejores Juveniles fully deserved thier win.
