The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 14th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angel Vito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peng Xiong in the 23rd minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angel Vito made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 31 minutes into the match, Crottos Crotters F.C.'s Peng Xiong sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thiago Pliego narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Angel Vito was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The wind increased when Mariano Lacasa made the kick off in the second half. Angel Vito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlando Casaus in the 53rd minute of the match. Adilson Breckenfeld might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thiago Pliego. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benigno Elija in the 94th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Chile had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
