In the 15th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lara Guadalupi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Valério Ortiz came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the MAGNIFICOS.FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valério Ortiz couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the MAGNIFICOS.FC defense, Mariano Lacasa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lara Guadalupi. The MAGNIFICOS.FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lara Guadalupi should have stopped the shot. 37 minutes into the game, Mariano Lacasa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Lara Guadalupi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. But to his dismay, Mariano Lacasa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mariano Lacasa to strike the kick off in the second half. MAGNIFICOS.FC's Lara Guadalupi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 53rd minute of play. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Lara Guadalupi made a huge save. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. MAGNIFICOS.FC made a substitution. Geert Wijgaert replaced Valério Ortiz. MAGNIFICOS.FC's Lara Guadalupi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save MAGNIFICOS.FC from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Chile's zone, Geert Wijgaert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thiago Pliego came out of the goal and Geert Wijgaert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 94 minutes into the match, MAGNIFICOS.FC's Geert Wijgaert sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thiago Pliego narrowly saved just below the crossbar. MAGNIFICOS.FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gilberto Lalla in the 95th minute. The corner led MAGNIFICOS.FC's Gilberto Lalla to fire away a dangerous shot which Thiago Pliego despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Chile's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
