The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilbert Bonsaint in the 3rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Washington Arantes in the 25th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lucas Maciel. CLAYMORE COUNTRY's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julian Murillo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Julian Murillo might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lucas Maciel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Julian Murillo ran back to his position shaking his head. A throw-in in the 38th minute of the game was made by Blas Bernal with Washington Arantes as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 38th minute of the match, Gilbert Bonsaint tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rolando Noboa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Blas Bernal made in the 45th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Dusty Amireau. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind CLAYMORE COUNTRY's goalkeeper Lucas Maciel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

The wind increased when Gilbert Bonsaint made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, CLAYMORE COUNTRY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dusty Amireau to maneuver through the defense. CLAYMORE COUNTRY's Lucas Maciel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save CLAYMORE COUNTRY from getting a goal against them. Blas Bernal made in the 60th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Joaquin Prats hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Washington Arantes in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Washington Arantes put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Rolando Noboa. 66 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Anísio Azevedo came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. CLAYMORE COUNTRY made a substitution. Ahmet Ceyhan Erozan replaced Sun Kun Bing. Blas Bernal got a throw-in 68 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Anthony Eadie. In the 71st match minute, CLAYMORE COUNTRY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dusty Amireau to maneuver through the defense. Peru's attentive Eliseo Mina managed to snatch the ball when Blas Bernal made a throw-in in the 74th minute of the game. When Julian Murillo came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julian Murillo couldn't finish the play. The throw-in from Blas Bernal in the 77th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Joaquin Prats. 78 minutes into the game, Julian Murillo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lucas Maciel. Julian Murillo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anísio Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Washington Arantes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Sten Lindell hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Rafael Gallo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lucas Maciel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Blas Bernal made in the 94th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Anthony Eadie immediately put the ball in play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Peru walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
