When Er Can came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the FCFiratRom fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Er Can couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Er Can in the 9th minute of play forced Strömsbro IF's goalkeeper Per-Olof Walroth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Strömsbro IF's goal looked a bit too open when Er Can came free, but Per-Olof Walroth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute, Bahattin Enfal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th minute of the match Strömsbro IF got a corner. FCFiratRom's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bernt Löfskog ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Strömsbro IF's Bernt Löfskog to fire away a dangerous shot which Zekai Hilal despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Strömsbro IF's zone, Er Can stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Per-Olof Walroth came out of the goal and Er Can tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Er Can in the 24th managed to get into a good position. Per-Olof Walroth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Turan Çile in the 30th minute of the match. FCFiratRom's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Talha Gök in the 31st minute. In the 32nd match minute, FCFiratRom was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Servet Tanırcan to maneuver through the defense. FCFiratRom's Zekai Hilal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save FCFiratRom from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Strömsbro IF getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Hjalmar Ahlén hit a great ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ali Nejat Maruf to make the kick off. Per-Olof Walroth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 94 minutes into the game, Jens-Ola Norberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Strömsbro IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FCFiratRom the free kick.
