Hugo Fisher made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Ivan Mrňus kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. If Talha Gök had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Zekai Hilal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roland Záhoran's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Er Can sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 40 played minutes FCFiratRom got a freekick which was hit by Ali Nejat Maruf. After a rather tough play, AFK Petržalka's Roland Záhoran got a free kick in the 44th minute. The supporters of FCFiratRom booed when AFK Petržalka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miroslav Cupka didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. After 52 minutes, Er Can mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FCFiratRom and the AFK Petržalka players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, FCFiratRom's Er Can got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in FCFiratRom's zone, Roland Záhoran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zekai Hilal came out of the goal and Roland Záhoran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rama Zanetti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peter Hvižďák's late challenge caught a FCFiratRom's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Peter Hvižďák helped the player get up and apologised. In the 70th minute, Peter Hvižďák hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zekai Hilal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roland Záhoran in the 73rd minute of the match. Zekai Hilal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roland Záhoran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
