Oskar Haeger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 12 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Hermanö Oilers's Oskar Haeger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 14th minute of play. Oskar Haeger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 16th minute of the match. Camilo Gisbert hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Ingemar Stålman sent off a good shot on target. 22 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Oskar Haeger narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 22 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Oskar Haeger. After 39th play minutes Cristian Sancho shot 1-3, a short shot which went by Oskar Haeger and just under the crossbar into goal. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Ingemar Stålman tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Hermanö Oilers's Horea Popârcea got a free kick in the 46th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When Hermanö Oilers's Dave Di Filippo in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Oskar Haeger came out of the goal and Felix Montenegro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
