The crowd rose to their feet as Caballeritos del Baile's Jairo Deunoro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marcos Cotilla. That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. The supporters of Panama booed when Caballeritos del Baile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emil Rasialdo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Jairo Deunoro notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Panama's Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Jairo Deunoro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Damián Martínez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Jairo Deunoro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jairo Deunoro in the 36th minute of play. Damián Martínez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Panama booed when Caballeritos del Baile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luisito Gaizkine didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abraham Alguacil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damián Martínez having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Panama's zone, Jairo Deunoro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal and Jairo Deunoro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

After some careless play in the Panama defense, Jairo Deunoro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Cotilla. The Panama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Cotilla should have stopped the shot. Isidoro Sarmiento could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Damián Martínez made a huge save. After 65 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Alex Cambeiro. Rene Goi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 70th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcos Cotilla. Panama's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Panama booed when Caballeritos del Baile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonzalo Lujan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 74 played minutes Caballeritos del Baile got a freekick which was hit by Serafino Hermelando. Damián Martínez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 76th minute of the match. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jairo Deunoro in the 81st minute of play. Caballeritos del Baile's Damián Martínez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Caballeritos del Baile from getting a goal against them. Caballeritos del Baile's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
