When Patricio Costa came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Costa couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marek Czech in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 24 minutes into the match, Marek Czech dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant, 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Marek Czech managed to get in a good position for a shot. Głodne Ghule's supporters rose to their feet, but Marek Czech was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Venezuela's attentive Jose Correa managed to snatch the ball when Bogdan Rakovytsja made a throw-in in the 29th minute of the game. Marek Czech's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan Koller in the 36th minute of the match. Marek Czech could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Głodne Ghule's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jan Koller in the 40th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 44th minute, which inside left pole to 3-0.

A throw-in in the 53rd minute of the game was made by Anísio Domingues with Szymon Pilipiec as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 55th minute Marek Czech shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Głodne Ghule fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
