David Vale hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Emiliano Guillelmus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doni Pimenta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute, Serafim Simão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emiliano Guillelmus came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Palestra do Interior's Ronaldo Pirani. But to his dismay, Ronaldo Pirani quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After the first half Palestra do Interior were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Nelsinho Marinho scored 0-2 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emiliano Guillelmus, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 56th play minutes Nelsinho Marinho shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Emiliano Guillelmus and just under the crossbar into goal. Ronaldo Pirani received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Emiliano Guillelmus came out and tried to block the shot, but Ronaldo Pirani slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 59th minute. In the 63rd match minute, Palestra do Interior was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peder Neira to maneuver through the defense. Palestra do Interior made a substitution. The supporters of Knight Of Dawn booed when Palestra do Interior was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peder Neira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emiliano Guillelmus stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pau Lin-Carlos's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Nelsinho Marinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palestra do Interior's supporters rose to their feet, but Nelsinho Marinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emiliano Guillelmus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 82 minutes into the game, Serafim Simão cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Emiliano Guillelmus was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 87 minutes into the match, Pau Lin-Carlos dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Emiliano Guillelmus, 0-6. Hermengildo Pepillo charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hermengildo Pepillo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Knight Of Dawn's Hermengildo Pepillo got a free kick in the 89th minute. After 91 played minutes Pau Lin-Carlos rounded Knight Of Dawn's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-7. When Christiano Palmeira fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palestra do Interior's protests and gave Christiano Palmeira a yellow card for diving instead. In the 94th minute, Christiano Palmeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Knight Of Dawn's Emiliano Guillelmus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Knight Of Dawn from getting a goal against them.

Palestra do Interior played a much better game than Knight Of Dawn and deserved their victory. The Knight Of Dawn players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
