In the 93rd minute Omar Librado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cătălin Simuţ saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. During the 94th minute of the match Higinio Beltza completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Higinio Beltza a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 95th minute, Higinio Beltza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Many of Balavanis's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Balavanis may have spent more time on the ball, but Equipo were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
