An unexpectedly hard shot by Abraham Alguacil in the 10th minute of play forced Tetra Pack FC's goalkeeper Silvano Arnau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Silvano Arnau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Aaron Barrios fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Panama's protests and gave Aaron Barrios a yellow card for diving instead. After 12 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Barrios. In the 14th minute Abraham Alguacil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvano Arnau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Panama's zone, Nereo Gaur stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal and Nereo Gaur tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 21st minute, Tetra Pack FC's Cristobal Inocente dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. A hard shot 26 in the game by Nereo Gaur from a close distance when the talented Marcos Cotilla managed to make a qualified save. Panama's players were relieved. In the 29thth minute of the game Tomas Berganza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tetra Pack FC's Silvano Arnau was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nereo Gaur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 32nd minute of the match, Nereo Gaur got a very nice opportunity to score, but Marcos Cotilla was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Isidoro Sarmiento took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Silvano Arnau. Silvano Arnau dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tetra Pack FC's goalkeeper Silvano Arnau, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nereo Gaur could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Marcos Cotilla made a huge save. 46 minutes into the match, Tetra Pack FC's goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Sarmiento came free, but Silvano Arnau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Matthew Garrido hit a great ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Panama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hernan Porfirio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. 55 minutes into the match, Hernan Porfirio notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Panama's Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 58th minute, Aaron Barrios hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristobal Inocente in the 62nd minute of play. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nereo Gaur, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Isidoro Sarmiento got free with Silvano Arnau in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Tetra Pack FC booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Cambeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcos Cotilla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. 79 minutes into the match, Santo Lluterio notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Panama's Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nereo Gaur took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. After some careless play in the Panama defense, Nereo Gaur kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Cotilla. The Panama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Cotilla should have stopped the shot. After 96 minutes of play, Tetra Pack FC's Santo Lluterio made it 8-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcos Cotilla was left in no man's land by his defense there!
