An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Mcdonald in the 21st minute of play forced Palestine's goalkeeper Erhun Bilek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karl-Åke Svanberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Marco Day tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, USA's goalkeeper Marco Day had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Karl-Åke Svanberg. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eser İşcan in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Day prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Anísio Matorin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palestine's supporters rose to their feet, but Anísio Matorin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marco Day breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
