Colombia's Antonio Indiano quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Arrigo Tonon, made in the 88th minute of the game. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Antonio Indiano hit a great ball. In the 91st minute Ignacio Mastache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brendan Leblanc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brendan Leblanc made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abram Secada in the 93rd minute. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bo Kruuse in the 95th minute of the match. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
