Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Axel Tasis took the kick off in the first half of the match. 6 minutes into the game, Abelardo Medeiros cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Lautaro Puig hit a great ball. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abelardo Medeiros in the 17th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Abelardo Medeiros kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benito Sanz. That made the score 2-0 in the 20 minute of play. After 35 played minutes SE Palmeiras got a freekick which was hit by Natanael Paraense. Alfredo Vieira hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute, Aaron Alcocer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 43 minutes into the game, SE Palmeiras's Abelardo Medeiros nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abelardo Medeiros was the one to do the kick off. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abelardo Medeiros in the 58th minute of play. Abel Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Alfredo Vieira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. SE Palmeiras's Will Muralhas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save SE Palmeiras from getting a goal against them. Eliseo Noboa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With his leg Will Muralhas managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when Costa Rica's Axel Tasis fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Roberto Andrade came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the SE Palmeiras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roberto Andrade couldn't finish the play. Will Muralhas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Tasis in the 78th minute of the match. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by SE Palmeiras's Abelardo Medeiros. But to his dismay, Abelardo Medeiros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when SE Palmeiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball.
