After taking down the ball on Olimpia HSB's corner Nikola Mirotić fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dan Wennerqvist quite easily take care of the ball. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Fabian Czeszejko sped through Soroca F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dan Wennerqvist. Dan Wennerqvist had in the 29thth minute some difficulties stopping Fabian Czeszejko's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Fabian Czeszejko scored 1-3 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dan Wennerqvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Artur Walczak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Dan Wennerqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dan Wennerqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabian Czeszejko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tolek Kiszkiel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Amador Venceslao in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fabian Czeszejko was the one to do the kick off. Olimpia HSB's Tolek Kiszkiel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrián Espadas in the 53rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zézinho Neiva in the 55th minute of play forced Olimpia HSB's goalkeeper Tolek Kiszkiel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tolek Kiszkiel came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Soroca F.C.'s Zézinho Neiva. But to his dismay, Zézinho Neiva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Soroca F.C.'s Godofredo Quilino was substituted for Gustavo Tartalo. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Soroca F.C.'s goalkeeper Dan Wennerqvist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sixto Yanguas kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Soroca F.C. made a substitution. Rodolfo Atarrabi replaced Hernan Lano. A collision led to Olimpia HSB getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Sixto Yanguas hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Jacek Pietrowiak's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dan Wennerqvist was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. In the 96thth minute of the game Jacek Pietrowiak who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Soroca F.C.'s Dan Wennerqvist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Neither Soroca F.C. or Olimpia HSB succeeded in finding a winner during the second half. That meant the players faced another 30 minutes of extra-time.

With new strength the players walked out on the field for the first half of overtime. Răzvan Necula in Soroca F.C. was the one to initiate the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Răzvan Necula in the 102nd minute of play forced Olimpia HSB's goalkeeper Tolek Kiszkiel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilfredo Vellito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 108th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Wennerqvist having to interfere. Dan Wennerqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nikola Mirotić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score was still level after an even and exciting first-half in extra time. The players took a moment to grab a drink and get instructions from their managers before swapping ends.

120 minutes into the match, Soroca F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Jacek Pietrowiak came free, but Dan Wennerqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 123 minutes into the match, Răzvan Necula notched a goal, 4-3, to the right of Olimpia HSB's Tolek Kiszkiel. Tolek Kiszkiel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
