Samurai's Vince Di Cola proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Samurai from getting a goal against them. Baltazar Clavijo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 29 minutes, Vince Di Cola successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 30th minute Fernando Grover shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vince Di Cola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rdth minute of the game Maxim Tsigalko who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Borussia Dortmund's Yao Zhan Sang was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vince Di Cola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Grover, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yao Zhan Sang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timmy Henriksson in the 35th minute of the match. The supporters of Samurai booed when Borussia Dortmund was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Grover didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maxim Tsigalko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yao Zhan Sang read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. In the 41st minute of the match Samurai got a corner. Borussia Dortmund's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alto Wing ran over to the corner to take the kick.

Yakup Sargut hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Timmy Henriksson came free with the goalkeeper in the 52nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Yao Zhan Sang could save by the left post. Vince Di Cola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Levander in the 57th minute of play. 58 minutes into the game, Baltazar Clavijo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Vince Di Cola was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Yao Zhan Sang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maxim Tsigalko, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 76th minute, Timmy Henriksson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Samurai's Wu Qi was substituted for Maxim Tsigalko. Samurai made a substitution. Esbjörn Hultstrand replaced Timmy Henriksson. In the 78th match minute, Samurai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timmy Henriksson to maneuver through the defense. Baltazar Clavijo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vince Di Cola read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. After 80 minutes Samurai's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Yakup Sargut who took care of the corner kick. Yakup Sargut made a great header on Borussia Dortmund's corner, it was just that Samurai's Vince Di Cola managed to reach the ball for a save. Borussia Dortmund's Yao Zhan Sang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wu Qi in the 84th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wu Qi in the 86th minute of play forced Borussia Dortmund's goalkeeper Yao Zhan Sang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Borussia Dortmund made a substitution. Fernandez Quintairos replaced Tomas Levander. A collision led to Borussia Dortmund getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Yakup Sargut hit a great ball. 93 minutes into the match, Borussia Dortmund's goalkeeper Yao Zhan Sang had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wu Qi. Wu Qi might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yao Zhan Sang. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wu Qi ran back to his position shaking his head. Yao Zhan Sang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wu Qi, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.

Borussia Dortmund's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
