Fernando Ponte kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. In the 13th minute Moises Fernandino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silban Dulce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Tana booed when El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abram Luque didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Joshua Curbelo got a free kick in the 21st minute. 22 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Ospin Vila came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silban Dulce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moises Fernandino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ricardo Zorita made an important save on a dangerous shot by Charro Arraz in the 31st minute. In the 44th minute, Tana's Baldemer Mata seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Baldemer Mata the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Tana protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Baldemer Mata had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 43 minutes into the game, one of Tana:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Moises Fernandino to strike the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the game, Pablo Marmol was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tana's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Salvador the free kick. Ospin Vila recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ospin Vila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 82 minutes of play, Tana's Ospin Vila made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ricardo Zorita was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Tana's Charro Arraz got a free kick in the 85th minute. In the 87th minute, Moises Fernandino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ricardo Zorita came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Tana's Ospin Vila. But to his dismay, Ospin Vila quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. 94 minutes into the match, Tana's Ospin Vila sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ricardo Zorita narrowly saved just below the crossbar. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Tana fully deserved thier win.
