The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Gustav Siöman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustav Siöman in the 5th minute. 7 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Marciano Hendrickx came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marciano Hendrickx scored 1-0 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rolando Noboa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Peru's attentive Efraim Gilabert managed to snatch the ball when Rueben Rashleigh made a throw-in in the 40th minute of the game. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Marciano Hendrickx sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marciano Hendrickx stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Peru's Alonso Berganza managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Rueben Rashleigh in the 56 minute of the game. Arian Beqaj showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 57th minute of the match. 58 minutes in the game, Eliseo Mina fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Arian Beqaj having to interfere. When Heiko Sibon fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Beek City's protests and gave Heiko Sibon a yellow card for diving instead. Gustav Siöman kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Rueben Rashleigh hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Rafael Gallo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Rafael Gallo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arian Beqaj breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Beek City players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
