Falckner FC's Amancio Paez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Falckner FC from getting a goal against them. Amancio Paez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mihály Földesi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 6th minute Edgardo Lleir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antal Budai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 7 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Edgardo Lleir sped through Szombathely Squirrels's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Antal Budai. The supporters of Szombathely Squirrels booed when Falckner FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arturo Tulio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antal Budai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Alvarez in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Edgardo Lleir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amancio Paez was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. 26 minutes into the match, Szombathely Squirrels's goal looked a bit too open when Edgardo Lleir came free, but Antal Budai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgardo Lleir in the 26th minute of play forced Szombathely Squirrels's goalkeeper Antal Budai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute, Edgardo Lleir ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Antal Budai was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Zsolt Vörös could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Amancio Paez made a huge save. Baldomero Bernard hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Falckner FC's Amancio Paez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihály Földesi in the 40th minute of play. Amancio Paez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mihály Földesi in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edgardo Lleir to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute, Zsolt Vörös hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edgardo Lleir's late challenge caught a Szombathely Squirrels's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edgardo Lleir helped the player get up and apologised. In the 61st minute, Edgardo Lleir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Haroldo Eufemio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After recieving a nice pass, Falckner FC's Edgardo Lleir tried to score from far away in the 96th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Szombathely Squirrels had played much better football throughout.
