A very good chance. 17 minutes into the match, Falckner FC's goalkeeper Amancio Paez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jonatan Felipo. 0-1 became the score in the 23rd minute when Edgardo Lleir elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Amancio Paez was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Dionisio Monico. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquin Fonso in the 39th minute of play forced Falckner FC's goalkeeper Amancio Paez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jonatan Felipo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 61st minute, Gaston Joanes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Falckner FC's Edgardo Lleir got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Club Atlético Atlanta made a substitution. Leonardo Paulin replaced Joaquin Fonso. After 72 played minutes Falckner FC got a freekick which was hit by Teodoro Oliveiro. Paulino Frechoso's late challenge caught a Falckner FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulino Frechoso helped the player get up and apologised. Paulino Frechoso kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. When Edgardo Lleir came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Falckner FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgardo Lleir couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Club Atlético Atlanta booed when Falckner FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilfredo Gil didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92nd minute Jonatan Felipo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amancio Paez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Falckner FC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Club Atlético Atlanta's much stronger midfield.
