An unexpectedly hard shot by Pavao Zadro in the 13th minute of play forced DINAMO's goalkeeper Ysmael Marfil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, DINAMO's Ysmael Marfil got control of the ball when Saul Montrel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ysmael Marfil made an important save on a dangerous shot by Prospero Perico in the 21st minute. Claudio Cina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Cortez having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Pavao Zadro put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ysmael Marfil. 28 minutes into the match, DINAMO's Ryszard Borcz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nestor Cortez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the Lobos de Carelia defense, Ryszard Borcz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nestor Cortez. The Lobos de Carelia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nestor Cortez should have stopped the shot. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind DINAMO's goalkeeper Ysmael Marfil, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ysmael Marfil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saul Montrel in the 34th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ryszard Borcz in the 35th minute of play forced Lobos de Carelia's goalkeeper Nestor Cortez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nestor Cortez came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by DINAMO's Ryszard Borcz. But to his dismay, Ryszard Borcz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Ysmael Marfil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pavao Zadro, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Horacio Oliverios hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute, Eusebio Rios hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pavao Zadro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eusebio Rios was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Ysmael Marfil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prospero Perico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Moise Vlădean blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nestor Cortez having to make a save. When DINAMO's Ryszard Borcz in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Nestor Cortez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ryszard Borcz went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Lobos de Carelia made a substitution. Vladimiro Millano replaced Cosme Bikendi. In the 73rd minute Ryszard Borcz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Cortez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pavao Zadro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Ysmael Marfil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lobos de Carelia's Cristobal Lia was substituted for Pavao Zadro. DINAMO's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
