Edmond Verdun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alvaro Raymond in the 11th minute. Alvaro Raymond could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Edmond Verdun made a huge save. 18 minutes into the match, Errecaborda AFC's goalkeeper Edmond Verdun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alvaro Raymond. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alvaro Raymond got free with Edmond Verdun in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Errecaborda AFC's zone, Alvaro Raymond stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edmond Verdun came out of the goal and Alvaro Raymond tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 27th minute, Despidida AFC's Alvaro Raymond ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Edmond Verdun. Edmond Verdun yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Alvaro Raymond fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmond Verdun having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Alvaro Raymond left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Despidida AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. In the 40th minute Isidro Gines shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Selatse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Despidida AFC's Alvaro Raymond in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Errecaborda AFC's goalie prevented a goal. 44 minutes into the match, Alvaro Raymond dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Edmond Verdun, 5-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alvaro Raymond stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Alvaro Raymond's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edmond Verdun was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. In the 66th minute, Despidida AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Isidro Gines fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 68th minute Prospero Jerardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Selatse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, Despidida AFC's Toro Martínez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edmond Verdun narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Toro Martínez scored 9-1 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edmond Verdun, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Errecaborda AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
