The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Zulkarnaen Mandaga took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hernan Neriz. In the 7th minute, Zulkarnaen Mandaga left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bandung Tigers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 14 minutes into the match, Bandung Tigers's Zulkarnaen Mandaga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hernan Neriz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hernan Neriz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fachri Puang's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Borussia Dortmund's goalkeeper Hernan Neriz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 24 minutes into the game, Fachri Puang cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Zulkarnaen Mandaga made the kick off in the second half. Filipe Zaballos kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. After 52 played minutes, Bandung Tigers's Wang Zheng Yun shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hernan Neriz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bandung Tigers reached it. Xiao Jie De kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Hernan Neriz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zulkarnaen Mandaga, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Hernan Neriz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fachri Puang in the 57th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Fachri Puang had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hernan Neriz. Borussia Dortmund's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fachri Puang was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. In the 62nd minute Zulkarnaen Mandaga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hernan Neriz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valiente Marino's late challenge caught a Bandung Tigers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valiente Marino helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Borussia Dortmund getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Valiente Marino hit a great ball. Wang Zheng Yun took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 74th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hernan Neriz. Borussia Dortmund's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Wang Zheng Yun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernan Neriz having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Zulkarnaen Mandaga took a quick shot and it went in 0-8 without a chance for Hernan Neriz to make any attempt to save it. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Leopoldo Azevedo advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-9 in the 85th minute. In the 88th minute, Fachri Puang left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bandung Tigers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-10. 91 minutes into the match, Zulkarnaen Mandaga notched a goal, 0-11, to the right of Borussia Dortmund's Hernan Neriz. Hernan Neriz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd rose to their feet as Bandung Tigers's Zulkarnaen Mandaga slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hernan Neriz. That made the score 0-12 after 95 minutes of play. Bandung Tigers's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
