Doriva Pinho started the match with the kick off. After 5 minutes, Fabiano Abraão made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Clube do Remo MZ's Tiaguinho Netto tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Tiaguinho Netto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Humberto Pitta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Willian Trevisan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mário Maia in the 11th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Vítor Godoi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clube do Remo MZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Vítor Godoi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Willian Trevisan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Régis de Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Fabiano Abraão slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tiaguinho Netto. That made the score 2-0 after 16 minutes of play. Willian Trevisan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doriva Pinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Clube do Remo MZ's Tiaguinho Netto got control of the ball when Fabiano Abraão tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mário Maia's late challenge caught a Merusca F&P - CIMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mário Maia helped the player get up and apologised. Mário Maia hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Doriva Pinho in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Willian Trevisan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tiaguinho Netto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humberto Pitta, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Clube do Remo MZ's Tiaguinho Netto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Pitta in the 34th minute of play. Fabiano Abraão blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tiaguinho Netto having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabiano Abraão got free with Tiaguinho Netto in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Willian Trevisan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Doriva Pinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fabiano Abraão made a kick off. Doriva Pinho took the ball and in the 50 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Willian Trevisan. Willian Trevisan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Tiaguinho Netto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leopoldo de Queiroz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gil Secco kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Clube do Remo MZ's zone, Régis de Souza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiaguinho Netto came out of the goal and Régis de Souza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vítor Godoi kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabiano Abraão in the 58th minute of play forced Clube do Remo MZ's goalkeeper Tiaguinho Netto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tiaguinho Netto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabiano Abraão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Willian Trevisan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mário Maia in the 62nd minute of play. Vítor Godoi might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Willian Trevisan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vítor Godoi ran back to his position shaking his head. After 66 played minutes Merusca F&P - CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Şah Conkur. When Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Humberto Pitta in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Clube do Remo MZ's goalie prevented a goal. Tiaguinho Netto came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Carlos Augusto Esteves. But to his dismay, Carlos Augusto Esteves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Clube do Remo MZ's Joélson de Carvalho was substituted for Vítor Godoi. Clube do Remo MZ's Afonso Paraíba was substituted for Allan da Silveira. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Pitta in the 78th minute of play forced Clube do Remo MZ's goalkeeper Tiaguinho Netto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlos Augusto Paranaense kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mário Maia got free with Willian Trevisan in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Augusto Esteves in the 85th minute of play forced Clube do Remo MZ's goalkeeper Tiaguinho Netto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clube do Remo MZ's Tiaguinho Netto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Augusto Esteves in the 87th minute of play. 90 minutes had been played when some careless play by Merusca F&P - CIMZ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luizão Vides was slow to take the kick. During this time Clube do Remo MZ's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Luizão Vides got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Willian Trevisan quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of Clube do Remo MZ booed when Merusca F&P - CIMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Augusto Paranaense didn't get a good kick on the ball. 94 minutes in the game, Humberto Pitta dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Merusca F&P - CIMZ were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Clube do Remo MZ for a fine match.
