Jamaica's Demonde Jacobson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Jamaica from getting a goal against them. The Jamaica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Demonde Jacobson should have stopped the shot. Demonde Jacobson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adrián Czornomaz in the 31st minute. 41 minutes into the game, Jamaica's Finlay Stair nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Felipe Liher made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. 44 minutes into the game, Adrián Czornomaz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Demonde Jacobson. Adrián Czornomaz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 6-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Finlay Stair to make the kick off. After 53 played minutes Jamaica got a freekick which was hit by Geroy Ascue. Timoteo Firmo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Demonde Jacobson. Jamaica's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Rigoberto Lucado might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Demonde Jacobson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rigoberto Lucado ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Adrián Czornomaz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Demonde Jacobson was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Adrián Czornomaz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Demonde Jacobson having to make a save. Demonde Jacobson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Morjan Sarkhoh in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 85th minute, Javan Develder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 90 minutes into the game, one of Jamaica:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.
