The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Attila Veres might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacobo Nores. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Attila Veres ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Paraguay's Primitivo Escribano got a free kick in the 15th minute. The long shot by Márk Kántor in the 15th minute really tested Jacobo Nores's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Attila Veres might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacobo Nores. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Attila Veres ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Attila Veres in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacobo Nores saved Paraguay from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Paraguay's zone, Attila Veres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacobo Nores came out of the goal and Attila Veres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Márk Kántor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Jacobo Nores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Attila Veres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Nores having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Attila Veres came free, but Jacobo Nores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute, Attila Veres made a precise shot to the right of Jacobo Nores. Paraguay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Attila Veres got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 5-0 in the right cross in the 41st match minute before Jacobo Nores had time to react. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jaime Pardo was the one to do the kick off. Márk Kántor struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Jacobo Nores didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yeovil. In the 56th minute, Miklós Szakács hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Attila Veres took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacobo Nores. Jacobo Nores dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Attila Veres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 67th minute, Márk Kántor ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jacobo Nores was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Attila Veres in the 71st minute of play. In the 74th minute, Attila Veres left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Yeovil fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Márk Kántor in the 77th minute of play. Jacobo Nores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Attila Veres, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Márk Kántor in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacobo Nores prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Attila Veres might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacobo Nores. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Attila Veres ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 91st minute Attila Veres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When 白树志 fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Yeovil's protests and gave 白树志 a yellow card for diving instead. Yeovil's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
