Christiano Ronaldos short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Qiu Chuan Ran to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Gonzalo Lixandro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, Unione Sportiva could leave the field as winners, despite Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. having more of the ball for most of the match.
