An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 15th minute of play forced Sporting Clube Patrício's goalkeeper Ademar Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Binne Koppermann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting Clube Patrício's supporters rose to their feet, but Binne Koppermann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Manzanares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The wind increased when Binne Koppermann made the kick off in the second half. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Binne Koppermann in the 53rd minute of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
