The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd match minute, C.A.Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lisandro Mederi to maneuver through the defense. 5 minutes into the match, C.A.Independiente's Heigo Luiga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anastasios Bouroutzikas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Alfredinho Machado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Buford Lim was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Ambrosio Ovando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anastasios Bouroutzikas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tom Misaki in the 13th minute of the match. Anastasios Bouroutzikas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tom Misaki, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After 21 minutes of play, C.A.Independiente's Heigo Luiga made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anastasios Bouroutzikas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Buford Lim was out of position in the 24 minute of play, and Alfredinho Machado capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alfredinho Machado really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. SÃO JORGE FC - CIMZ's Laércio Gomes managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Alvaro Iaki in the 30 minute of the game. SÃO JORGE FC - CIMZ's Anastasios Bouroutzikas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heigo Luiga in the 35th minute of play. The throw-in from Alvaro Iaki in the 37th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by SÃO JORGE FC - CIMZ's Eusebio Paulin. 41 minutes into the match, C.A.Independiente's goalkeeper Buford Lim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfredinho Machado. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tom Misaki to strike the kick off in the second half. Anastasios Bouroutzikas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tom Misaki in the 52nd minute. It was a well-played corner which Edson-Arantes Pelé managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Anastasios Bouroutzikas made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Tom Misaki sent off a good shot on target. SÃO JORGE FC - CIMZ's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Tom Misaki 64 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. SÃO JORGE FC - CIMZ made a substitution. Celso Gines replaced Eusebio Paulin. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tom Misaki got free with Anastasios Bouroutzikas in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 76th minute, 沈皓松 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tom Misaki took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anastasios Bouroutzikas. Anastasios Bouroutzikas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Buford Lim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 沈皓松 in the 80th minute of play. Anastasios Bouroutzikas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tom Misaki in the 81st minute. C.A.Independiente's Quentin Holman was substituted for Ambrosio Ovando. Gavril Bosioc kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Buford Lim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredinho Machado, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 87th minute SÃO JORGE FC - CIMZ were awarded a corner. Gabriel Diegotxe went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Gabriel Diegotxe got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Buford Lim quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Buford Lim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edson-Arantes Pelé, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. 92 minutes had been played when some careless play by C.A.Independiente's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gabriel Diegotxe was slow to take the kick. During this time SÃO JORGE FC - CIMZ's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to SÃO JORGE FC - CIMZ's Zdeněk Zápotocký getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 95 minutes into the match, C.A.Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when 沈皓松 came free, but Buford Lim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The C.A.Independiente supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing C.A.Independiente would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
