Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joško Van Landschoot's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. After a rather tough play, ISPARTASPOR U21's Behzat Amir got a free kick in the 5th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joško Van Landschoot in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 10 played minutes ISPARTASPOR U21 got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Gumaro. Michel van der Bij made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 11th minute of play. Michel van der Bij showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Michel van der Bij showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 17th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Michel van der Bij was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. ISPARTASPOR U21's Michel van der Bij played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 22nd minute of play. Behzat Amir hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. A collision led to ISPARTASPOR U21 getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Davinson Sanchez hit a great ball. 28 minutes into the game, Luis Andino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ISPARTASPOR U21 the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 32nd minute of play forced ISPARTASPOR U21's goalkeeper Michel van der Bij to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 40 minutes, Alfredo Gumaro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ISPARTASPOR U21's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredo Gumaro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 42nd minute Agustín Saelices shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michel van der Bij saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Omar Gelmiro. 44 minutes into the match, ISPARTASPOR U21's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Michel van der Bij reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Michel van der Bij. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Omar Gelmiro was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Michel van der Bij in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 53 minutes into the game, Omar Gelmiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joško Van Landschoot in the 61st minute of the match. 66 minutes had been played when some careless play by ISPARTASPOR U21's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that ISPARTASPOR U21's Michel van der Bij managed to reach the ball for a save. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omar Gelmiro in the 68th minute of play. In the 69th match minute, ISPARTASPOR U21 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fermin Bemabe to maneuver through the defense. ISPARTASPOR U21 made a substitution. Frances Sánchez replaced Suelo De Toro. In the 78th match minute, ISPARTASPOR U21 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Omar Gelmiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 80th minute, Davi Isac hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Michel van der Bij came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omar Gelmiro in the 84th minute of play. After 86 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Michel van der Bij was left in no man's land by his defense there! ISPARTASPOR U21's Michel van der Bij played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 91st minute of play.
