When Alan Sá fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored P3DR4 N0 S4P4T0 F.C's protests and gave Alan Sá a yellow card for diving instead. In the 15th minute, Alan Sá hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alan Sá hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 20th minute of play forced P3DR4 N0 S4P4T0 F.C's goalkeeper Denílson Munhoz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Denílson Munhoz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute Zézinho Rossi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, P3DR4 N0 S4P4T0 F.C's Thomás Seco got a free kick in the 59th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Alex Chicote in the 61st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by P3DR4 N0 S4P4T0 F.C's Roberto-Carlos da Silva. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jano da Rocha during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jano da Rocha hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Venezuela players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
