Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Primitivo Andino made in the 10th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Felix Montenegro immediately put the ball in play. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thomas Runeberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sotiris Koupepes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Felix Montenegro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thomas Runeberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Thomas Runeberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Wolverhampton defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thomas Runeberg. The Wolverhampton fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thomas Runeberg should have stopped the shot. After having played for 35 minutes, Åke Söderqwist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wolverhampton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Åke Söderqwist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Edmund Almkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sotiris Koupepes in the 39thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Julio Vera, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 41 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sotiris Koupepes. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Runeberg having to interfere. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Sotiris Koupepes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sotiris Koupepes was the one to do the kick off. Guillermo Granäng kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Sotiris Koupepes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Thomas Runeberg made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Sotiris Koupepes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 64 minutes into the match, Wolverhampton's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Thomas Runeberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Felix Montenegro in the 69th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Wolverhampton's Per-Oskar Ahlstedt. 70 minutes into the game, Primitivo Andino threw the ball into play from the sideline. Wolverhampton's 夏天 Naae quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 73rdth minute of the game Edmund Almkvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 73 minutes of play, Wolverhampton's Sotiris Koupepes made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great ball. After 87 played minutes Wolverhampton got a freekick which was hit by Boruc Domarecki. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Thomas Runeberg made a huge save. If Sotiris Koupepes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Many of Ecuador's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ecuador may have spent more time on the ball, but Wolverhampton were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
