Eduardo Fontirroig struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Olimpiu Popan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bolivia. In the 34th play minute Rareș Nicoliță came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Camilo Freixa. 1-0. Eduardo Fontirroig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olimpiu Popan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduardo Fontirroig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mario Fernandino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Calistrat Musceleanu's late challenge caught a Bolivia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Calistrat Musceleanu helped the player get up and apologised. Calistrat Musceleanu hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute Alfredo Ferrant shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olimpiu Popan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mario Fernandino, 83 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bolivia fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 90th minute. Penalty! In the 93rd minute there was a penalty for Pardina.
