The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Péter Temesvári made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 2nd minute of play. A collision led to Szittyák SE rege getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Tibor Soós hit a great ball. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Péter Temesvári tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 10th minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Péter Temesvári. Szittyák SE rege's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 16 minutes into the match, Szittyák SE rege's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Péter Temesvári reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Péter Temesvári took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Szittyák SE rege defense, Felix Montenegro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Péter Temesvári. The Szittyák SE rege fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Péter Temesvári should have stopped the shot. Péter Temesvári showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Szittyák SE rege's Miklós Sebestyén seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Miklós Sebestyén the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Szittyák SE rege protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Miklós Sebestyén had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 29th minute of the game. One of Szittyák SE rege:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ecuador:s goal. Péter Temesvári went to the wrong direction when Daniel Zorita was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Szittyák SE rege's Péter Temesvári played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 32nd minute of play. After 32 minutes, Mátyás Vadas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Szittyák SE rege and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 32nd minute, Mátyás Vadas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Felix Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Zorita scored 0-3 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Péter Temesvári, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Péter Temesvári. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Péter Temesvári. Imre Cseh's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Imre Cseh helped the player get up and apologised. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Sancho in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Péter Temesvári prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 52nd minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With his leg Péter Temesvári managed to avoid a goal in the 53rdth minute, when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 75th match minute, Szittyák SE rege was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Toldi to maneuver through the defense. In the 78th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Péter Temesvári was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. Péter Temesvári made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Felix Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Szittyák SE rege was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tibor Soós didn't get a good kick on the ball.
