After a rather tough play, Nova Soccer's Kismi Abar got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 97th minute Nova Soccer were awarded a corner. Zenaido Aramoyana went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Nova Soccer's Edinson Flores to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ecuador played a much better game than Nova Soccer and deserved their victory. The Nova Soccer players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
