Candido Mercurio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 16 minutes into the game, Colombia's Axel Montenegro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Candido Mercurio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Pedro Manzanares was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Korkut Urza capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Korkut Urza really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Axel Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Candido Mercurio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colombia. The supporters of Colombia booed when KPO BIZARRO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guiseppe Meazza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abram Sarmiento scored 3-2 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Candido Mercurio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Korkut Urza in the 39th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute, Axel Montenegro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Candido Mercurio was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. In the 46th minute, Antonio Indiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abram Sarmiento stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Joshua Garrido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Candido Mercurio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Candido Mercurio made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Abram Secada sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 79 minutes, Abram Secada managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colombia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abram Secada was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eloy Ospin, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Abram Secada managed to get in a good position for a shot. Colombia's supporters rose to their feet, but Abram Secada was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Candido Mercurio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, KPO BIZARRO's Nigel Cold got a free kick in the 84th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abram Secada got free with Candido Mercurio in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rui Guterres during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 92 played minutes KPO BIZARRO got a freekick which was hit by Rui Guterres. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Secada in the 93rd minute of play forced KPO BIZARRO's goalkeeper Candido Mercurio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
