Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. José Luis Sánchez started the match with the kick off. Robustiano Peyo made in the 2nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. Ecuador's defense didn't have a chance, in the 6th minute, when Ramiro Enrique scored to the left of an out of position Julio Vera, making the score, 1-0. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Luis Sánchez in the 10th minute of the match. Ramiro Enrique's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. In the 13th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ediberto Righi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers José Luis Sánchez in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ramiro Enrique in the 16th minute. José Luis Sánchez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 23rd minute of play forced lןןl La Coconeta's goalkeeper Ediberto Righi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in lןןl La Coconeta's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ediberto Righi came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 26th minute Ramiro Enrique shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. lןןl La Coconeta were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. José Luis Sánchez took the corner. The corner led to lןןl La Coconeta's Alexis Maldonado getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Ediberto Righi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Daniel Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ediberto Righi was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. If Ramiro Enrique had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ediberto Righi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 36th minute of the match. In the 40th minute Ramiro Enrique shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramiro Enrique in the 41st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alejandro Cabrera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. After 59 played minutes lןןl La Coconeta got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Jiménez. After a rather tough play, lןןl La Coconeta's Jorge Jiménez got a free kick in the 60th minute. When lןןl La Coconeta's Ramiro Enrique in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Ramiro Enrique's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramiro Enrique in the 71st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ramiro Enrique took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. lןןl La Coconeta's Josemir Lujambio was substituted for Ramiro Enrique. In the 77th minute Josemir Lujambio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of lןןl La Coconeta booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. 81 minutes into the game, Josemir Lujambio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. lןןl La Coconeta's José Luis Sánchez got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. lןןl La Coconeta's Josemir Lujambio was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The lןןl La Coconeta support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
