Marco Day made an important save on a dangerous shot by Orvar Kihlman in the 9th minute. In the 11th match minute, BV Borussia Hammarby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl Springfält to maneuver through the defense. Jairo Asteguieta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cassius Byrne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orvar Kihlman in the 15th minute of the match. After 17 minutes USA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Anders Örtlund who took care of the corner kick. The corner led BV Borussia Hammarby's Anders Örtlund to fire away a dangerous shot which Marco Day despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cassius Byrne in the 22nd minute of play forced BV Borussia Hammarby's goalkeeper Jairo Asteguieta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Birger Mårtensson got free with Marco Day in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jairo Asteguieta didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Monty Rogers went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Cassius Byrne was slow to take the kick. During this time USA's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on USA's corner Cassius Byrne fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jairo Asteguieta quite easily take care of the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cassius Byrne stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cassius Byrne struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Jairo Asteguieta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for USA. 55 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Orvar Kihlman came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61stth minute of the game Orvar Kihlman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but USA's Marco Day was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 61 played minutes BV Borussia Hammarby got a freekick which was hit by Karl Springfält. In the 62nd match minute, BV Borussia Hammarby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl Springfält to maneuver through the defense. BV Borussia Hammarby made a substitution. Hong Hao Fei replaced Birger Mårtensson. BV Borussia Hammarby's Honorio Florin was substituted for Orvar Kihlman. Quincy Qvalfeldt kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Honorio Florin in the 90th minute of play. In the 91st minute Honorio Florin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Khalid Parry's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jairo Asteguieta was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. In the 95th minute Honorio Florin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
