Fc Camerunul ★DAC★'s Zé Augusto Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 6th minute of play. 8 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fc Camerunul ★DAC★'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Joel Gaona fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Zé Augusto Santos quite easily take care of the ball. Lautaro Mancebo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Lorenzo Cazalla got a free kick in the 19th minute. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pompiliu Alupoaie, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. After 24 minutes, Calistrat Mugur mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fc Camerunul ★DAC★ and the Mexico players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 24th minute, Calistrat Mugur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 26 minutes, Joel Gaona made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Fc Camerunul ★DAC★'s Zé Augusto Santos tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 28th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Augusto Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute, Pompiliu Alupoaie ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dante Lacasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Laurențiu Bărănescu to make the kick off. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mattias Tingelholm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Augusto Santos having to interfere. In the 62nd minute Laurențiu Bărănescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Mattias Tingelholm came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laurențiu Bărănescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Laurențiu Bărănescu in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dante Lacasa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Fc Camerunul ★DAC★'s Laurențiu Bărănescu in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mexico's goalie prevented a goal. Fc Camerunul ★DAC★ made a substitution. Nicu Lucescu replaced Pompiliu Alupoaie. Fc Camerunul ★DAC★ made a substitution. Dante Lacasa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicu Lucescu in the 91st minute of play. 92 minutes into the game, Felix Luque was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mexico's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fc Camerunul ★DAC★ the free kick. After 92 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Felix Luque. Marcel Curta took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 93rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dante Lacasa. Mexico's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Facundo Cadaval hit a great ball. Marcel Curta, 95 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Many of Mexico's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Mexico may have spent more time on the ball, but Fc Camerunul ★DAC★ were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
