Janusz Haskiewicz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. In the 8th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Onana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 10th minute of play forced Sielce Warszawa's goalkeeper André Onana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. André Onana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 13th minute of the match. In the 16th play minute Janusz Haskiewicz came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Julio Vera. 1-0. 19 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Roman Kaczynski came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Primitivo Andino made in the 34th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Sielce Warszawa's Kajetan Glapiak. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roman Kaczynski in the 41st minute of play. After 47 minutes of play, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. André Onana was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but André Onana read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Cristian Sancho hit a great ball. Janusz Haskiewicz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Janusz Haskiewicz, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roman Kaczynski in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. After 80 played minutes Sielce Warszawa got a freekick which was hit by Leon Karp. The throw-in from Primitivo Andino in the 82nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Sielce Warszawa's Gunnsteinn Guðbjörnsson. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edin Džeko's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 89th minute, Primitivo Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roman Kaczynski charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roman Kaczynski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
