In the 5th minute Jeremiah Jeffries shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Pascal Hayden sent off a good shot on target. After 7 minutes, Abel Carballo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the þînk þ£st ƒç players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of þînk þ£st ƒç booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 10 minutes Costa Rica's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Santo Gore who took care of the corner kick. 12 minutes into the match, þînk þ£st ƒç's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Tasis came free, but Iurie Dășanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute Nigel Cordero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Aaron Alcocer notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of þînk þ£st ƒç's Iurie Dășanu. Iurie Dășanu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nigel Cordero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute Nigel Cordero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nigel Cordero, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Pascal Hayden could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. þînk þ£st ƒç's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Santo Gore in the 35th minute. Jeremiah Jeffries made a great header on þînk þ£st ƒç's corner, it was just that Costa Rica's Benito Sanz managed to reach the ball for a save. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Costa Rica's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Santo Gore was slow to take the kick. During this time þînk þ£st ƒç's players had a chance to rest. Pascal Hayden received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benito Sanz came out and tried to block the shot, but Pascal Hayden slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 41st minute. 45 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Pascal Hayden came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nigel Cordero had several of the Costa Rica's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 46 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 4-1 score and a disappointed Benito Sanz as he didn't even see the shot coming. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

The wind increased when Nigel Cordero made the kick off in the second half. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pascal Hayden went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nigel Cordero in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Santo Gore took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. In the 60th minute, Pascal Hayden ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-1. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Pascal Hayden kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pascal Hayden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th minute Pascal Hayden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Nigel Cordero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. In the 72nd minute þînk þ£st ƒç were awarded a corner. Santo Gore went to the cornerflag to take it. Pascal Hayden made a great header on þînk þ£st ƒç's corner, it was just that Costa Rica's Benito Sanz managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nigel Cordero in the 75th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 77 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alan Moruga. þînk þ£st ƒç's Santo Gore got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nigel Cordero in the 79th minute of play. Nigel Cordero took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-1. 88 minutes into the match, Nigel Cordero notched a goal, 10-1, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 91stth minute of the game Nigel Cordero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 95th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Carballo to maneuver through the defense.
