Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Vítor Macedo got the match started through his kick off. A collision led to Campus Douro Academy getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Paulo Pires hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Luis Andino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zeferino Igrejas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zeferino Igrejas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 13 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zeferino Igrejas. Zeferino Igrejas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 19 minutes of play, Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zeferino Igrejas was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Campus Douro Academy getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Altino Tristão hit a great ball. 23 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Luis Andino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zeferino Igrejas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A hard shot by Paulo Pires from long distance, 28 minutes into the match, got Julio Vera's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Juan Sebastián Puig made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Campus Douro Academy's Zeferino Igrejas managed to reach the ball for a save. The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when Ecuador's Felix Montenegro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Campus Douro Academy's Zeferino Igrejas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 36th minute of play. 38 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Zeferino Igrejas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 41st minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeferino Igrejas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Altino Tristão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Campus Douro Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vítor Macedo to maneuver through the defense. 54 minutes into the match, Campus Douro Academy's goalkeeper Zeferino Igrejas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Zeferino Igrejas was out of position in the 59 minute of play, and Daniel Zorita capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Daniel Zorita really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. In the 62nd minute, Germano Vilalobos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 63 played minutes Campus Douro Academy got a freekick which was hit by Cândido Bragança. Paulo Pires kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita got in the 65th minute the ball and tried a long shot which scored to the left of Zeferino Igrejas and thus it was 0-7. A collision led to Campus Douro Academy getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Vítor Macedo hit a great ball. Campus Douro Academy's Zeferino Igrejas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Campus Douro Academy from getting a goal against them. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zeferino Igrejas made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Zeferino Igrejas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Sebastián Puig to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Campus Douro Academy's Zeferino Igrejas got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Cristian Sancho kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Zeferino Igrejas. That made the score 0-8 in the 87 minute of play. After having played for 90 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Vítor Macedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Vítor Macedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 94 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Roberto Brás came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Campus Douro Academy throughout the match.
