Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Sydney FC's Emanuel Ogășanu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Önder Cebi dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rolando Noboa, 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julian Murillo in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sebastian Titz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Önder Cebi in the 8th minute of play. Eliseo Mina kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Sebastian Titz came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Luz Tejedor. But to his dismay, Luz Tejedor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After 16 minutes, Armando Abeita mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sydney FC and the Peru players grew even worse after the yellow card. Armando Abeita hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. 17 minutes into the match, Sydney FC's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Sebastian Titz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sebastian Titz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Mina in the 21st minute of play. Sebastian Titz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 24th minute of play forced Sydney FC's goalkeeper Sebastian Titz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sebastian Titz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Titz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Peru's Alonso Berganza got a free kick in the 44th minute. Angelo Milanese could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. After having played for 48 minutes, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julian Murillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Önder Cebi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Ogășanu in the 57th minute of play. Armando Abeita made in the 59th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Adam Daller however managed to control. A sloppy throw-in by Angelo Milanese in the 60th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Önder Cebi in the 61st minute of the match. Sebastian Titz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Julian Murillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastian Titz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 67 minutes, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Sebastian Titz in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sebastian Titz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julian Murillo in the 70th minute. Guy Rothe struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Rolando Noboa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sydney FC. If Guy Rothe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A throw-in in the 78th minute of the game was made by Moises Gayoso with Eliseo Mina as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 79 minutes into the match, Luz Tejedor had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sebastian Titz. Sydney FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luz Tejedor was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Joaquin Prats kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Rafael Gallo took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sebastian Titz. Sebastian Titz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Peru eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
