The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 played minutes Stokrotki got a freekick which was hit by Zbyszek Dylla. 13 minutes into the game, Wincent Winnicki was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stokrotki's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Taşpınar Sk the free kick. The supporters of Taşpınar Sk booed when Stokrotki was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wincent Winnicki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Enginalp Tetiker's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Miromir Gabis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Stokrotki's Andrzej Pochorylo got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Enginalp Tetiker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miromir Gabis having to interfere. Bülent Bardakçı struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Miromir Gabis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Taşpınar Sk. After a rather tough play, Stokrotki's Czeslaw Wielkopolski got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 30th minute of the match Balamir Koçarslan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Miromir Gabis showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Czeslaw Wielkopolski's late challenge caught a Taşpınar Sk's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Czeslaw Wielkopolski helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Stokrotki getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Czeslaw Wielkopolski hit a great ball. In the 42nd minute, Eugeniusz Chmelyk fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ferit Taykut, passed just outside the right post. Ferit Taykut showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wieslaw Orling, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Wieslaw Orling received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Ferit Taykut tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Taşpınar Sk's Ferit Taykut played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wieslaw Orling in the 59th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eugeniusz Chmelyk in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ferit Taykut prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ferit Taykut came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Stokrotki's Wieslaw Orling. But to his dismay, Wieslaw Orling quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After 71 played minutes Taşpınar Sk got a freekick which was hit by Derman Kabadayı. Miromir Gabis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bülent Bardakçı in the 80th minute of the match. Taşpınar Sk's Ferit Taykut played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugeniusz Chmelyk in the 86th minute of play. Ferit Taykut stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eugeniusz Chmelyk's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. In the 92nd minute, one of Stokrotki:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Stokrotki. When the match had been going on for 93 minutes, Taşpınar Sk's Balamir Koçarslan got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Miromir Gabis. Stokrotki's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
