After some careless play in the Wantage United defense, Bülent Bardakçı kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Shukrie Hock. The Wantage United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Shukrie Hock should have stopped the shot. 27 minutes into the match, Taşpınar Sk's goal looked a bit too open when Zafran Singh came free, but Ferit Taykut reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lamar Mathews in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ferit Taykut prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 70th minute of the match Balamir Koçarslan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Shukrie Hock showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Lamar Mathews sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 74 played minutes Wantage United got a freekick which was hit by Jithu Ning. Lamar Mathews was extremely unlucky when he, in the 80th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After 83 minutes, Shahiran Ramachandran mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wantage United and the Taşpınar Sk players grew even worse after the yellow card.
